Doe's Eat Place, at 136 Broadway Street, is a Paducah location of the Mississippi steakhouse chain of the same name, known regionally for oversized steaks served in a deliberately no-frills setting. Tribeca, at 127 South 2nd Street, pairs a Mexican dinner menu with an on-site art gallery, giving it a distinctly gallery-district feel even though it sits in the downtown core rather than Lower Town proper. Max's Brick Oven Cafe, at 112 South 2nd Street, covers wood-fired pizza and Italian-American staples in a more casual register than Cynthia's, a block away.

A Brewpub for Casual Nights

Paducah Beer Werks, at 301 North 4th Street, is the city's notable brewpub option, drawing current reviews for its beer selection alongside pub food — a reasonable choice for a lower-key night that doesn't require a reservation months out the way Freight House can.

Freight House in particular books up around AQS QuiltWeek in April and Barbecue on the River in September, Paducah's two highest-traffic weeks; reserve well ahead if visiting during either. As with any small-city dining scene, hours shift seasonally and some of these restaurants close one or two days midweek — confirm current hours directly before making plans, especially outside peak tourist season.
